Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bread

  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional Toppings

Instructions:

1) Make the Filling: Whip 2 tbsp cream cheese with 1 tbsp sugar until smooth. Spread on one slice of bread, and spread 2 tbsp strawberry jam on the other. Press together.

2) Prepare Egg Mixture: Whisk 1 egg, 1 cup milk, and 1 tsp vanilla in a bowl.

3) Dip & Cook: Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.

4) Serve: Top with fresh strawberries, extra jam, and optional toppings like walnuts, granola, maple syrup, bananas, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.

** Tips! :)

  • Use thick-sliced brioche bread for a more soft & fluffy texture~

  • Save some of the cream cheese filing- add milk & powdered sugar to create an icing to drizzle on top, so yum!!

  • Add in walnuts or granola as a topping for an extra added crunchy texture

  • Eyes eat first!! Putting the plate together is half the fun, go crazy on the toppings, lightly dust with powdered sugar, or just make it your own- the world is your oyster :))
